Somewhere between Scrooge, the Grinch and a post-holiday hangover is JACKIE BEAT, everyone's favorite big and bawdy, bold and ballsy, in-your-face funny "lady". On December 15, Jackie makes her Chelsea debut with her 8th annual holiday show, Jackie Beat is the Holiday Ho at The Cutting Room (19 West 24th Street -- accessible from the N,R,F,V & 6 trains at 23rd Street). It all started so innocently in 1998 with Jesus Christ, It’s Your Birthday!, a delightful non-denominational holiday tribute featuring such seasonal fare as "Sleigh Ride in Leather With You," "Black Christmas," and "Go To Hell," Beat’s jaded take on "Silver Bells". When the show was prominently featured in The Catholic League for Religious and Civil Right’s 1998 Report on Anti-Catholicism, an annual holiday tradition was born.

Now the bile-filled Ms. Beat returns to New York from L.A. to share her latest thoughts on "the most wonderful time of the year." Whether you celebrate Christmas, Chanukah, Kwanzaa or Ramadan, Jackie Beat is the Holiday Ho is the perfect way to celebrate. the show features the ghosts of Jackie’s Holiday Past, including "How The Bitch Stole Christmas," "Jew Christmas," and "Oops!... It’s Christmas Again," warmly spiced with new songs destined to become holiday classics. Why bother with "ho ho ho" when one big Ho will suffice?

Jackie Beat has been named Best Drag Queen by New York Press , and Best Live Performance by HX Magazine. She moved to New York from LA in 1997 to star in the off-Broadway production of "Valley of the Dolls," and later starred in off-Broadway’s "Tell-Tale". She has appeared on the big screen in the Joel Schumacher/Robert DeNiro film "Flawless" as well as the independent films "Grief," and "Wigstock." Her past performances have included "Uptown Lady, Downtown Girl," "A Whole Lotta Love," and "I Didn’t Mean to Turn You On." Beat moved back to LA in 2000 to assume a role as head writer on the short-lived WB sketch comedy show "Hype!" She has written for the Sci Fi Channel, is one of US Magazine’s Fashion Police top cops and is currently the voice of Bertha on Nickelodeon’s animated series "Kung-Fu Spy Troll". She is also the lead singer of the popular electroclash band Dirty Sanchez.
