Chip Duckett
Chip Duckett has produced over 3000 parties and club nights in NYC and in 58 other cities in the United States and abroad. He has produced regular or frequent nights in New York at spaces including the World, Mars, Quick!, Carmelita's, Plaid, Irving Plaza, Discotheque, Palladium, Danceteria, Crowbar, the Pyramid, Bar 13, Sound Factory Bar, Champs, the Roxy, Ace of Clubs, Life, 219 Flamingo, Spa, and Fez. He has also done many celebrity-oriented events, ranging from book parties for Marilyn Manson, Jackie Collins, and Barry White to after-concert parties for Tony Bennett, Duran Duran, and Sarah McLachlan to gold record presentations for Jewel and Duncan Sheik.
He did the national events launch campaign for the TV series Absolutely Fabulous for its third season, with over 51,000 people in 48 cities seeing screenings or attending events leading up to the premiere (the New York party was hosted by Naomi Campbell at the Puck Building with the AbFab cast present).
Chip also produces Joan Rivers in a new-material workshop regularly at the Cutting Room (after working together almost three years at Fez, which closed in 2005 --- with Miss Rivers as the final act in the legendary space). At the Cutting Room, she tries out every new joke she thought of in the preceding week. If you don't know Joan Rivers' history as a comic --- even better. Come, and be blown away.
Chip also DJs the party 1984 at the Pyramid and Pop Rocks! at Bar 13, and has DJed pre-show concerts for Erasure, the Bangles, and Bjorn Again. Chip was born in Atlanta and lives in the East Village.
